The g1 tocantins portal will broadcast the final of the Me Toca festival on Tuesday (26th) at 20:00. In addition to performing with singer Osvaldo Montenegro, the event will feature unreleased songs written by Tocantins artists. The winner will receive up to 10,000 reais.
The participants were tasked with creating music inspired by one of the following themes: Tropeso Archipelago, Parrot’s Beak, Fat, Banana Island, Japan, Palmas Lake, Araguaia River, Tocantins River, Serras Gerais and Tacuarusu.
In total, 30 artists were selected to participate in the festival. In the first phase, the songs were broadcast on the radio to ensure participation and encourage public voting.
At another stage of the competition, the public chose representatives for each topic. Therefore, in the final, 10 composers will present their unpublished songs celebrating the beauty of Tocantins. The final event will take place live at the Kuyka Auditorium on the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) campus in Palmas, broadcast by g1 Tocantins.
Each shortlisted song is already eligible for a living wage of 1,500 reais. Those selected by the jury will receive the following prizes:
